Tutorial: How to Install FPS Paddles on a PS5 Controller in 5 Minutes

Materials needed to install FPS pallets
Before you begin, make sure you have:
✔️ A compatible PS5 controller (BDM-30, BDM-40 or BDM-50)
✔️ The FPS Draw my Pad palette kit
✔️ A suitable screwdriver
✔️ A welder
✔️ A soldering iron
✔️ A plastic tab
✔️ A clean and well-lit workspace
Step 1: Open the PS5 controller
1️⃣ Remove the side handles by gently unclipping them.
2️⃣ Unscrew the 4 main screws under the handles.
3️⃣ Separate the back shell carefully and set it aside.
Step 2: Mounting the FPS Pallets
1️⃣ Place the FPS paddle holder on the back of the controller.
2️⃣ Secure it with the screws provided without tightening too much.
3️⃣ Connect the connector to the motherboard (if necessary).
4️⃣ Glue the paddle circuit to the battery for stable fixation.
Step 3: Installing the FPS Palettes
1️⃣ Position the pallets in their locations by checking the alignment of the rods.
2️⃣ Use a screwdriver if necessary to adjust the fasteners.
3️⃣ Screw the kit onto the rear hull to stabilize the paddles.
Step 4: Reassembly and final testing
1️⃣ Reconnect all cables and close the back cover.
2️⃣ Tighten the 4 main screws and replace the side handles.
3️⃣ Turn on your controller and test your new FPS paddles!
